Granting Collaborator Access

User How To Provide Your Collaborator Code In Shopify

Providing collaborator access in Shopify is a straightforward process, essential for allowing third-party experts or agencies to work on your store without giving them full account access.

  1. Log In to Your Shopify Admin:

    • Begin by logging into your Shopify admin account.
  2. Navigate to Settings:

    • Once logged in, go to the bottom left corner and click on 'Settings.'
  3. Select Users and Permissions:

    • In the settings menu, find and click on 'Users and Permissions.'
  4. Invite Collaborator:

    • Scroll down to the 'Collaborators' section and click on 'Add collaborator.'
  5. Enter Collaborator’s Email or Code:

    • You will be prompted to enter the email address of the collaborator or their collaborator request code. The collaborator request code is provided by the third-party expert or agency.
  6. Set Permissions:

    • Choose the specific permissions you want to grant. This can range from accessing certain sections of your admin to modifying themes and apps.
  7. Send Invitation:

    • After setting the permissions, click on 'Send invite.' The collaborator will receive an email with a link to access your Shopify admin.

Note

  • Review Permissions: Carefully review the permissions you grant to ensure the collaborator has only the necessary access.
  • Monitor Activity: Keep track of the changes made by collaborators for security purposes.
